Nielsen Advisory is operated by N GROUP ApS. We take the protection of your personal data seriously. This privacy policy explains how we process your information when you visit our website or contact us via the contact form, email or telephone.

2. What information do we process?

When you use the contact form, we may process the following information:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Telephone number, if you choose to provide it
  • Company name, if you choose to provide it
  • The content of your message
  • Other information you choose to send us

Your name, email address and message are required for us to process and respond to your enquiry. Telephone number and company name are optional.

Please do not send sensitive or confidential personal data through the contact form unless it is necessary and has been agreed in advance.

During ordinary use of the website, our hosting provider may also process limited technical information, such as IP address, time of visit and information about browser or device. This information may be included in technical log files and used for operations, security and troubleshooting.

3. Purpose of processing

We process your information in order to:

  • Receive and respond to your enquiry
  • Contact you regarding your enquiry
  • Assess the possibility of working together
  • Prepare an offer or enter into an agreement
  • Manage and document our communication
  • Ensure stable and secure operation of the website

Information submitted through the contact form is not used for newsletters or other direct marketing unless a separate lawful basis applies.

4. Legal basis for processing

When your enquiry concerns a potential collaboration, an offer, or entering into or performing an agreement, we process the information under Article 6(1)(b) of the General Data Protection Regulation.

For other enquiries, we process the information under Article 6(1)(f). Our legitimate interest is to receive, manage and respond to relevant enquiries and to document our business communications.

Technical information may be processed under Article 6(1)(f) for security, troubleshooting and operation of the website.

5. Recipients and processors

We do not disclose your personal data to unauthorised parties and do not sell it to third parties.

The information may be processed on our behalf by the following suppliers:

  • Nordicway, which provides web hosting and technical infrastructure
  • Microsoft 365, which is used to receive, store and process emails

The suppliers process the information only in connection with providing their services and in accordance with applicable data-protection law.

Information may also be disclosed to advisers, authorities or others where necessary to comply with a legal obligation or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

6. Transfers outside the EU/EEA

Some of our suppliers or their subprocessors may process information in countries outside the EU/EEA.

If personal data is transferred to a country outside the EU/EEA, we ensure that a valid transfer mechanism is in place. This may include an adequacy decision by the European Commission, the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses or another lawful transfer basis under the General Data Protection Regulation.

7. Retention and deletion

Enquiries and related personal data are generally deleted no later than 12 months after the dialogue has ended.

Information may be retained for longer where:

  • It forms part of a current or previous customer or contractual relationship
  • It is necessary to document an agreement or legal claim
  • We are legally required to retain it
  • There is a specific and legitimate reason for continued retention

Information in backups may remain stored for a limited period after deletion from active systems until the backups are automatically overwritten.

8. Your rights

You have a number of rights under data-protection law. Depending on the circumstances, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we process about you
  • Have inaccurate or incomplete information corrected
  • Have information deleted
  • Have processing restricted
  • Object to processing based on our legitimate interests
  • Receive certain information in a structured, commonly used format
  • Have information transferred to another data controller where the rules on data portability apply

These rights are not unconditional and may be limited by other rules or specific considerations.

9. Automated decisions and profiling

We do not use information from the contact form for automated individual decisions or profiling.

10. Complaint to the Danish Data Protection Agency

You have the right to complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency if you believe our processing of your personal data breaches data-protection law.

We recommend that you contact us first so that we have the opportunity to investigate and address your enquiry. You are, however, always entitled to contact the Danish Data Protection Agency directly.

11. Changes to the privacy policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time, for example if the website’s functions, our suppliers or applicable rules change.

The current version will always be available on the website with the date of the latest update.
